Powell River Kings’ winger Christian Maro [left] and Alberni Valley Bulldogs’ centre Nicholas Beneteau appear the be entangled in a form of a classic wrestling move, called a figure four leg lock, during a BCHL game at Hap Parker Arena on February 24. Hard to tell which player initiated the move, but neither was injured on the play.

Powell River Kings hosted Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Saturday, February 24, for the second time in fewer than 24 hours at Hap Parker Arena.

After a scoreless first period, the clubs exchanged power play goals in period two. Simone Dadiè and Anthony Yu combined to set up Will Jones' eighth goal of the BC Hockey League season for the Kings, two minutes after the Bulldogs opened the scoring, knotting the score at 1-1 prior to intermission.

Alberni scored what proved to be the game-winning goal midway through the third period for a 2-1 win.

Attendance was 1,019.

Powell River skated to a 6-3 win over Alberni the night before.
