Slam dunk, annihilators, tigers—for anyone involved with School District 47’s basketball tournament, these are familiar names.
Recently, the district wrapped up its basketball season with a tournament for the Slam Dunk Cup, held at Oceanview Education Centre gymnasium.
After five weeks of skills, drills and scrimmaging with approximately 100 boys and girls from all schools in the district, Team Tigers came out on top, beating Annihilators to win one of the district’s oldest trophies.
All players did an excellent job, according to the coaches. Next up, after the Christmas season, will be volleyball for elementary school students.
