BCHL: Powell River evens record with win over Coquitlam

Third period goals from Ben Raymond and Jacob Bonkowski lifted Powell River Kings to 5-3 win over Coquitlam Express on April 12 at Scotia Barn in Burnaby.

Powell River trailed 2-1 after 20 minutes and the teams were tied at three heading into the final frame. Adamo Santia scored his third and fourth goals of the season for the Kings, one in each of the first two periods. Nolan Krogfoss added his second of the campaign for Powell River in the middle stanza.

Thomas Wardle stopped 33 of the 36 shots he faced to earn the win. Powell River directed 41 shots at the Coquitlam net.

With the win, Powell River evened its record at three wins and three losses.

Kings face the Express again on April 15, then meet Surrey on April 16. Both games take place at Scotia Barn with 7:30 pm start times.
