Powell River Kings' captain Casey Aman scored once and added an assist in his team's 6-5 loss to Cowichan Valley Capitals in Duncan on Saturday, February 4.

One day after being held to one goal in a loss to Victoria Grizzlies, Powell River Kings found the back of the net five times in Duncan, but still fell short in a 6-5 loss to Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Casey Aman, Adam Mendleson and Dylan Hewlett also scored for the visitors. Symons’ second of the game briefly tied the game at 5-5 with 4:09 remaining on the clock, but the hosts beat Kings’ goaltender Liam Vanderkooi for the sixth time just 18 seconds later to secure the win.

Capitals outshot the Kings 40-34. Attendance at Cowichan Community Centre was 897.

Next BC Hockey League (BCHL) action for Powell River is at home versus Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Friday, February 10 (7 pm), and Saturday, February 11 (5 pm).
