Cranbrook Bucks erased two one-goal deficits and eventually downed Powell River Kings 3-2 in overtime on December 1, having never led in 60 minutes of regulation time.

Carter Lundie and Owen Thomas scored for the Kings, who hosted the Bucks for the first time at Hap Parker Arena. Kailus Green and Noah Eyre picked up assists for the home team.

Kings' goaltender Tresor Wotton, who stopped 29 of the 32 shots he faced, was named the game's second star behind his counterpart Danick Leroux, who made 32 saves. Thomas earned the third star selection.

Cranbrook entered the BC Hockey League (BCHL) as an expansion team in the COVID-19-shortened 2020/2021 season.

Kings host Cowichan Valley on Saturday, December 2. Game time is 7 pm.
