Elementary school students from seven schools were on the run last week in School District 47’s annual spring cross-country race. École Côte du Soleil, in School District 93, and students from Assumption School also participated.

The weather was fantastic as the 196 runners from grades three to seven followed “rabbits” Brady Casparie, Stephanie Edwards, Chase Krompocker and Angus Labree through the trails at Sunset Park in Wildwood.

The top six winners in each category are listed below.

Grade three girls: first Melusine Yerna, École Côte du Soleil (ECdS); second Alison Ruegg, Assumption School (AS); third Brianna Narduzzi, Grief Point Elementary School (GPES); fourth Katy McKay, James Thomson Elementary School (JTES); fifth Payton Sigouin, ECdS; sixth Ilia Nakamey, GPES.

Grade three boys: first Philip Gauthier, JTES; second Ben Lehay-McHugh, Edgehill Elementary School (EES); third Andrew Krowitz, GPES; fourth Austyn Leach, GPES; fifth Rafael Reghelin, ECdS; sixth Evan Dendewicz, EES.
