BC Lung Association asks for support
Golfers play and save while donating to charity

Flowers are blooming and the weather is improving, both sure signs for golfers to swing into savings with the BC Lung Association’s Golf Privilege Club® Membership Book.

“Our membership book saves golfers hundreds of dollars for less than the price of one round of golf,” said Judy Logan, the charity’s volunteer director for Powell River. “It’s also a great way for golfers to pay less and play more while supporting the Lung Association’s work to improve lung health in British Columbia.”

For only $35, the membership book entitles golfers to discounts at more than 120 courses across BC and Washington State, with all proceeds from the book going to the charity’s various programs and services.

Golfers using Myrtle Point Golf Course can save 25 per cent off green fees by using the book.

According to the charity, one in five British Columbians live with breathing problems. BC Lung Association has been working for more than 100 years as the voice and primary resource for lung health in Canada. It was founded to fight tuberculosis and today fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on tobacco control, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, environmental health and air quality. A non-profit, non-governmental organization, the charity acts as an educational resource for the general public as well as those living with respiratory conditions. It also specializes in patient support programs, community services and advanced medical research.
