Hill moves into mountains

Opportunity to train with top MMA coaches

Fighter Michael Hill is spending some time in the United States to challenge his skills and surround himself with some of the best talent in the professional mixed martial art (MMA) arena with the hopes joining their ranks in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

After spending three months working in northern Alberta over the winter, he planned to train with mixed martial art fighter Colton Smith in New Mexico, but just days before planning to leave was contacted by National Hockey League enforcer Scott Parker. Parker is mutual friends with one of Hill’s friends from Kelowna and offered him the chance to train with him and top MMA coaches in Denver, Colorado.

Hill arrived in Denver last week and is staying with Parker and his family. He is training at MusclePharm with Loren Landow and Leister Bowling III.

The Powell River fighter is keeping a training blog about his experience in Denver which can be found through his Facebook page.
