GOLDEN GAME: Powell River Kings U13 squad defeated North Island Eagles 10-1 in the gold medal game of the Kings Cup at Powell River Recreation Complex on Remembrance Day weekend.
After going through the round-robin portion of the tournament undefeated, Powell River shut out Oceanside 11-0 in the semi-final game.
Pearson Coburn [above] buzzed around the Eagles ‘netminder, who was named first star of the game for his team.
Powell River’s U15 squad was also victorious in its gold medal game on home ice, and the U18 team won silver at the Cloverdale Memorial Tournament in Surrey.
