Langley doubles up on Powell River Kings

Rivermen outscore visitors 4-2 at George Preston Arena

Powell River Kings dropped their third BC Hockey League (BCHL) road game in as many days to Langley Rivermen on Sunday, November 6.

After falling behind 2-0 early in the first period, Jack Blanchett cut the deficit in half with a goal prior to intermission, and Dylan Hewlett knotted the game at 2-2 early in the second period.

Langley scored the eventual game winner at 11:31, also in the second period, followed by an insurance marker on a power play at 17:51. There was no scoring in the third period.

Powell River outshot Langley 44-29. Attendance at George Preston Arena was 317.

Karter McNarland, who recently committed to University of Alaska-Anchorage, Anthony Yu and Noah Eyre picked up assists for Powell River.

Kings were shut out 7-0 in Surrey on November 4, and dropped a 5-4 decision (shoot out) in Coquitlam on November 5.
