Penticton remains perfect with win over Powell River Kings

Penticton Vees improved their BC Hockey League-best record to 23-0 with a 4-2 win over Powell River Kings on Saturday, November 26.

Both teams scored twice in the first period at Hap Parker Arena, with Kings’ goals from Anthony Yu and Cameron Symons bookended by a pair from the Vees, who opened the scoring at 9:54 and tied the game at two at 18:50.

The visitors added two more goals in the second period, including the winner at even strength and an insurance marker on a power play. There was no scoring in the third period.

Penticton outshot Powell River 37-26. Attendance was 640.

Kings continue their homestand by hosting Merritt on Friday, December 2 (7 pm) and Cowichan Valley on Saturday, December 3 (5 pm).
