Powell River Energy U14 soccer team won bronze at the BC Soccer Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup on Sunday, July 8. Marcus Cramb scored the the only goal of the game in the first half of a 1-0 win over Vancouver that clinched a spot on the podium.
Powell River began its pursuit of a provincial championship with a 2-0 loss to the host club from Burnaby on Thursday, July 5, before bouncing back with a 2-1 win over Nelson the following day. Griffin Leach and Jacob Duyvesteyn (penalty kick) were the goal scorers.
A scoreless draw against Prince George on Saturday, July 7, earned Energy a spot in the third-place game.
Eight teams from regions across BC took part in the tournament.
