Powell River Kings capitalized on three of eight power play opportunities en route to a 5-2 win over Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday, September 10.

Casey Aman, Parke Lalonde and Will Jones scored with the extra attacker, while Sam Schoenfeld and Nic Porchetta added even strength markers for the Kings, who led 2-0 after 20 minutes and 3-2 heading into the third period.

Chiefs had two chances on the power play, both thwarted by Kings' penalty killers.

Kings dominated the shot clock by a margin of 38-19 over the host Chiefs. Goaltender Kyle Metson picked up the win.

Lalonde, Colin MacDougall, Anthony Lucarelli, Jones, Caleb Bentham, Maxime Potvin, Anthony Yu and Porchetta recorded an assist each for the visitors.

Kings return to BC Hockey League action on Sunday, September 11, with another preseason game in Langley against the Rivermen.
