Powell River Regals return to home ice this weekend to continue their quest to qualify for the four-team Senior AA Coy Cup provincial championship tournament in Quesnel next March.

Regals will host Rossland Warriors at Hap Parker Arena for a pair of games this weekend.

“These are seeding games to determine who might get home ice advantage for playoffs between us, Penticton and Rossland for a berth in the Coy Cup,” said Regals’ coach Tod English. “Rossland is looking to avenge the two losses against us last year that ousted them from Coy Cup playdowns.”

Game times at Hap Parker Arena are 4 pm on Friday, November 18, and 8 pm on Saturday, November 19.

In preparation for Coy Cup playoffs, Regals have already faced British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) clubs in exhibition matchups, in addition to playing other senior AA teams in BC, with more games scheduled over the next few months.
