Kiran Hollmann Prichard was born (March 9, 2005) and raised in Powell River, and developed a love for the game at a very young age.
He played rep soccer with the Powell River Youth Soccer Association for three years, captaining the team in his final year, then played in the Vancouver Island Premier League for the Upper Island Riptide program, before joining Powell River Villa in 2020.
Kiran played as a guest player for Powell River Energy at the BC Provincial Championships in 2019; the team finished seventh in its group overall.
He plays as a fullback or a midfielder and just finished his second year with Villa.
Local fans have one more opportunity to see Kiran and his teammates play before Villa breaks for the summer. The rescheduled Steve Steele Memorial Boxing Day game will take place on Saturday, March 26, at Timberlane Park. Villa will take on Stevie’s Steelers, a team made up of veteran players from around the qathet region.
A pre-game ceremony starts at 1:15 pm; kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 pm. Entry is by donation, with a recommended donation of $5 per person.
