Powell River Kings defeated Nanaimo Clippers 6-4 at Hap Parker Arena on Saturday, March 10, in game six of their best-of-seven BC Hockey League playoff series.

Carter Turnbull scored the game-winning goal with 2:49 remaining in the third period and Mitchell Williams sealed the victory and a 4-2 series win with his second goal of the game into an empty net  35 seconds before the final buzzer sounded.

Kings trailed 1-0 after 20 minutes and fought back from 3-1 and 4-2 second-period deficits before Gavin Rauser tied the game at four early in the third period.

Turnbull also scored in the second period, as did fellow forward Ben Berard, whose fifth goal of the series was assisted by Carmine Buono and Andy Stevens while the Kings were on a power play.

Goaltender Matteo Paler-Chow turned aside 30 of 34 shots to earn the win.

With the win, Kings advance to the Island Division final against either Victoria Grizzlies or Alberni Valley Bulldogs. That series is tied at three games each with game seven scheduled for Victoria on Sunday, March 11.
