On February 18, Powell River Kings handed out their year-end awards at a banquet held at Hap Parker Arena. Forward Carter Turnbull was named the team’s most valuable player, while fellow offensive player Ethan Kimball was named rookie of the year. Andy Stevens and Carmine Buono shared the top defender award and captain Gavin Rauser was named most sportsmanlike player. A full list of award winners is available at powellriverkings.com.
Also last week, Rauser doubled down on his sportsmanlike play when he was named the BC Hockey League's Island Division nominee for the Bob Fenton Award as the league’s most sportsmanlike player.
