Kelly Creek Community School grade six student Jada Taylor gets some big air in the long jump event at the recent Powell River elementary school track meet, featuring students from grade three and up competing in four track and four field competitions.
The event at Timberlane Park on Friday, May 31, drew students from School District 47 schools, as well as participants from Assumption School, Powell River Christian School and École Côte-du-Soleil.
Students finishing first through eighth place were rewarded with ribbons for their performances.
