Powell River’s Colleen Maguire goes to the net for Powell River’s U17 girls volleyball team.
The team captured the Tier 3 bronze medal at the Volleyball BC Provincial Championships in Richmond on April 21.
The eight-member squad, coached by Christy Sullivan, went undefeated in round-robin play, suffering its only loss all weekend in the semi-final.
One other Powell River player competed in the tournament, Quinn Elzer, who plays for Nanaimo’s Mariners Volleyball Club, which placed out of the medals in fifth place in U17/18 boys Tier 2.
