Trade brings new faces to Powell River Kings' roster

Deal with Coquitlam Express adds pair of forwards to lineup

Carter Cochrane and forward Jaeger Murdock have acquired by Powell River Kings’ via trade with fellow BC Hockey League team.

Powell River Kings have acquired two new players from Coquitlam Express: forwards Carter Cochrane and Jaeger Murdock. In return, the Kings sent the playing rights of forward Liam Tanner, which were acquired in an off-season trade between the Kings and Penticton Vees, when Ben Brunette’s playing rights were sent to the BC Hockey League Interior Conference team.

Cochrane, who is from Victoria, is entering his final season in junior hockey; he has appeared in 105 BCHL games over three seasons with Prince George Spruce Kings and the Express, where he scored 16 goals and added 24 assists.

Murdock, an 18-year-old, is entering his third season in the league. Over the course of 67 games, his statistics include six goals and nine assists in stints with the Express and Nanaimo Clippers.
