Tri-Port hands Powell River U15 Kings first playoff loss

Paxton Schreiber and Chase Fontaine scored two goals each for Powell River U15 Kings on Saturday, February 18, but North Island Eagles (Tri-Port) erased a 4-3 deficit with five goals in the third period to win 8-6.

Beau Jameson Gagne and Eugene Souch also scored for the Kings, who led 4-3 going into the final frame after both teams scored once in the first period. Gagne also set up two goals while Souch, Jack Webber, Nathan Gruntman and Carter Stekman had one assist each.

U15A Kings, who won their first two postseason games last weekend, host another playoff game at Powell River Recreation Complex on Sunday, February 19, when Kerry Park visits. Game time is 4 pm.
