Powell River Twisters did it again. They brought home a fourth place finish in their level at the Vancouver Sea to Sky Cheer Leading Championships held recently.

Along with the other 2,500 competitors at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Twisters jumped, danced and tumbled their way to a fantastic finish. “I am extremely proud of the girls for doing so well,” said Jodi McKamey, coach.

Natalie Vallie, assistant Cheer coach, was able to participate with the rest of the Twisters team. With a photo of the team making it into The Province newspaper, the Twisters made an impact.

The season is almost over for this year but the team is looking for new teammates. Anyone who would like to learn more and maybe participate next year, can attend the Twisters Tryout, 5 pm, Tuesday, April 30 at Powell River Gymnastics Club. For more information, readers can call 604.485.0520.
