Powell River Kings have parted ways with Aaron Neal, sending the forward from North Vancouver to the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Powell River Kings made a roster move on November 22 by trading forward Aaron Neal to the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) in exchange for future considerations.

Neal was in his third BC Hockey League (BCHL) season with the Kings. The forward appeared in 13 games this season and recorded one goal and an assist.

“It’s not easy to move a player like Aaron who has been a solid player for us,” stated Kings’ general manager Chad van Diemen. “But we felt it was necessary to find him a new home where he can make the most of an opportunity with a fresh start. He wasn’t playing in the lineup where he wanted to be as a 19-year-old veteran and hopefully he can find success with his new team.”

Neal scored eight goals and 10 assists in 71 games during his Kings’ tenure.

“We would like to thank Aaron for his contributions,” added van Diemen, “to our team on and off the ice.”
