Victoria Grizzlies edge Powell River Kings in overtime

Home team erases two deficits en route to win

Powell River Kings faced Victoria Grizzlies in BC Hockey League action at the Q Centre in Victoria on Saturday, November 4.

Will Jones and Noah Eyre scored for the Kings, who led on two occasions in the first period, including 2-1 at intermission. Grizzlies capitalized on a power play midway through the second period to tie the score 2-2, and after a scoreless third, added the game winner 2:18 into the extra period to secure the win.

Owen Crudale made 45 saves for the Kings, who were outshot 48 to 33. Jace Harder, Christian Maro, Brendan Giles and Anthony Yu recorded assists for the visitors. Attendance was 1,426.

Kings play in Port Alberni on Sunday, November 5, at 2 pm.
