Lucky and enough: Regarding council’s compensation [“Mayor calls for discussion on pay,” October 28] and George Orchiston’s comment in a letter last issue [“Pay raises,” November 4], two words come to mind: lucky and enough.

Each year on Remembrance Day we honour those who have lost their lives fighting our country’s battles. Some gather at the cenotaph at Dwight Hall to pay honour to soldiers’ courage, others simply wear poppies on their lapels as a silent tribute.
