I was very pleased to hear the recent announcement of significant water infrastructure funding [“City receives water main funds,” October 5] for the community of Powell River to upgrade delivery of an already abundant supply of clean drinking water.

What do you think of this week's editorial cartoon?

Something strange happened on the morning of Monday, October 3. A last-minute meeting about planned logging on Roberts Road by Island Timberlands (IT) was taken over by a representative from Western Forest Products (WFP).

It sounds as if City of Powell River will have issued a building permit for the new Powell River Public Library by the time this issue hits the stands. If this sounds like a broken record finally being fixed, we completely understand.
