It should come as no surprise to anyone that Powell River’s population is aging, along with Canada’s.

Second vote There is a misapprehension that a second vote on Catalyst Paper Corporation’s plan of arrangement is not possible [“Catalyst ready for sales process, says president,” May 30]. That is not correct.

by Tom Hobbs Technology change, some 2,000 years ago, created a need for libraries. Technology change, last year, resulted in them becoming obsolete. My Kindle eBook reader makes it far more enjoyable and less costly to read than a book.

It had to be disappointing for rally organizers that so few people turned out to their event on Sunday, May 27.

Changes at the mill I worked at the Catalyst Paper Corporation Powell River mill from 1973 to 2008. I can hardly believe how many changes there have been since that time.

There are many reasons to bike to work, so it should be easy for Powell River residents to hang up their car keys next week and hop on their bicycles.
