EDMONTON — Alberta’s health minister says her department is working to recruit physicians specialized in transgender health care, but critics say new government policies will push them away.

Democratic Rep. Darren Soto won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Florida on Tuesday. Soto was first elected in 2016. His district stretches from eastern Orlando past Kissimmee. It is plurality Hispanic and solidly Democratic.

Republican Rep. Daniel Webster won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Florida on Tuesday. The 11th District includes western Orlando, Disney's four theme parks and The Villages, a large retirement community.

Republican W. Gregory Steube won election to a U.S. House seat representing Florida on Tuesday. The 17th District, located in southwest Florida along the Gulf Coast, includes Sarasota, Punta Gorda and Venice.

Former President Donald Trump won West Virginia for the third straight presidential election cycle on Tuesday. The victory adds four electoral votes to the former president's count.

Republican Patrick Morrisey captured the governor's office in West Virginia on Tuesday. Morrisey defeated Huntington Democratic Mayor Steve Williams. Morrisey has served three terms as the state's attorney general.

Jim Justice flipped a U.S. Senate seat in West Virginia to the Republican Party on Tuesday. Justice defeated Democrat Glenn Elliott to capture the seat being vacated by retiring U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin.
