Coblenz leads Powell River Kings over Alberni Valley

BCHL teams continue two-game set tonight at Hap Parker Arena
Powell River Kings

Josh Coblenz scored three goals to lead Powell River Kings in a 5-3 victory over the visiting Alberni Valley Bulldogs at Hap Parker Arena on Friday, November 30.

Coblenz earned first-star honours for his performance, while teammate Ryan Brushett, who scored his 20th goal of the season and added an assist, was named second star. Only Chilliwack’s Kevin Wall, with 22 goals, has scored more than Brushett in the BC Hockey League this season.

Defender Jayden Lee also scored for the Kings.

Bulldogs forward Jackson Doucet, who scored once, received third-star recognition.

The division rivals square off again tonight, also in Powell River. Kings will be seeking their fifth straight win after losing four in a row. Game time is 5 pm.
