Powell River bantam reps earn gold at hockey tournament

Powell River Kings Bantam Rep hockey team took part in the Coquitlam Bantam A Gold Classic from November 8 to 11.

The team played six games over the course of three days, eventually defeating Sooke in the final to claim the gold medal at the 10-team tournament.

The bantams have shown tremendous improvement over the first two and a half months of the season, according to coach Jamie Burt.

After starting the year winless in their first nine games, the team is now undefeated in their last seven contests.
