Powell River Kings add defender for 2019/2020 season

Powell River Kings Hockey Club has added another defender to its roster. The BC Hockey League Club announced on Thursday, June 13, that Dylan Finlay will join the team for the 2019/2020 season.

The 17 year old spent two seasons with Lac St-Louis Lions in Ligue de hockey Midget AAA du Québecbefore committing to the Kings. He scored three goals and added 26 assists in 40 games in 2017/2018, and had a plus/minus rating of plus 12.

Finlay’s stat lines were nearly identical the following season when he scored four times and set up 26 goals in 42 games played; his plus/minus improved to plus 22.

Finlay also appeared in 16 playoff games in 2018/2019, scoring twice and assisting on five other goals.

According to the Kings, the 176-pound, right-handed shot has committed to University of Vermont.
