Sports brief: Powell River Kings trade Saether

Defender joins Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Swan Valley Stampeders

Powell River Kings have traded defender Brenden Saether to a Manitoba Junior Hockey League club, the BC Hockey League team announced on Thursday, August 15.

Saether, who is from Abbotsford, played 14 games with the BCHL's Surrey Eagles during the 2018/2019 season prior to joining the Kings for 43 regular season and two playoff games. He assisted on three goals during his time in Powell River.

Kings made the trade with Swan Valley Stampeders in exchange for future considerations.
