VICTORIA — The Forest Practices Board has found that planned ignitions by the BC Wildfire Service during a 2023 wildfire that destroyed 40 homes along Gun Lake were "reasonable.

WINNIPEG — The Manitoba government has issued an evacuation order for Nopiming Provincial Park in the eastern part of the province due to growing wildfires. Cottagers, campers, lodge owners and others were asked to leave as of this morning.

EDMONTON — Residents north of Edmonton who fled an out-of-control wildfire earlier this month can return to their homes despite the blaze continuing to burn.

KAMLOOPS — The BC Wildfire Service says four new wildfires are burning out of control in the Prince George Fire Centre.

THE PAS — An out-of-control wildfire burning west of Lake Winnipeg has forced residents to flee from several communities in northern Manitoba.
