Rob Predinchuk captured today’s featured image from his perch in a crane high above Townsite on a foggy day last week. A barge crane working on the Hulks and the stack at Catalyst Paper Tis’kwat both rise above the mist.

On this day:
In 1881, painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso was born in Spain.

In 1964, legendary band The Rolling Stones appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show for the first time.

In 1978, the first movie in what would become a series of films, Halloween, was released. It starred Jamie Lee Curtis, daughter of actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, who made her onscreen debut at age 20 in the classic slasher flick.
