On behalf of your Powell River Board of Education: Jaclyn Miller, Kirstin Van’t Schip, Maureen Mason and Rob Hill, I’d like to wish all of our students, staff, their families and our community a very happy and restful winter break.

There is so much to celebrate and appreciate as we reflect on 2022. Despite the many challenges and their complexities, our staff and students have remained diligent and committed to success.

Our school communities are once again bustling with all kinds of activities, performances, extra-curriculars, programs and services. You don’t have to look much farther than our School District 47 social media platforms to get a sense of the variety of opportunities available to students in our expanding district.

We welcome a new year with a revitalized sense of all we have to be grateful for. As we celebrate the arrival of 2023, we wish you a happy new year filled with love, positivity and success.
