June 5; Harvie Avenue
At approximately 2:52 pm, police received a report of a theft of a set of garden gnome figurines. The stolen figurines were described as a set of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and were taken from a residential garden on Harvie Avenue sometime during the night between June 4 and 5.

June 5; Joyce Avenue
At approximately 12:42 am, police were making patrols and observed a car speeding in the area. RCMP stopped the vehicle near Quality Foods. The driver, an 18-year-old male from Powell River, showed signs of impairment. He refused to provide breath samples into the approved screening device. As a result, the driver was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days under provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act.

June 4; Barnet Street/Inland Lake
At approximately 11 am, a bicycle was turned in at the Powell River RCMP detachment, 7070 Barnet Street. The bike was found at the Inland Lake campground near the information sign. The owner of the bike can claim it at the RCMP detachment by providing an accurate description (including make, model, colour and possibly serial number).
