On January 20, 2023, at approximately 3:55 am, a single individual described as approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall with a thin build, appeared from the south end of the Pinetree Autobody property located at 4487 Franklin Avenue.
The suspect walked toward the front door of the business, smashed the glass in the lower portion of the door and entered the building. The suspect left through the same door a short time later and headed south toward the building next door, in the same direction from which the suspect came.
Powell River RCMP is asking shop owners and residents in the area with video surveillance to check the footage around the time of the incident and to contact the local detachment at 604.485.6255 if any suspicious activity is observed.
