At approximately 6:30 am on February 13, Powell River RCMP received a report that a vehicle had been stolen from the 6400 block of Hillcrest Avenue sometime overnight.
The vehicle was spotted in town throughout the day and at approximately 10:21 pm, the vehicle was located; it had been abandoned along the pole line near Weldwood Road.
The vehicle was towed to Powell River RCMP detachment for forensic examination. The investigation is ongoing.
