Powell River Kings improve preseason record to 2-0

BC Hockey League club defeats Langley Rivermen on second game of road trip

After downing Chilliwack Chiefs 5-2 in their first BC Hockey League (BCHL) preseason game on September 10, Powell River Kings returned to action in Langley on September 11.

Kings posted another win, outscoring the Rivermen 4-1, with goals coming from Anthony Lucarelli and Nic Porchetta in the first period, and another pair in the third period from Cameron Symons and Porchetta.

Parker Lalonde picked up a pair of assists for the Kings. Ryder Ringor, Sam Bélanger helped set up one goal each.

Goaltender Liam Vanderkooi turned aside 28 shots to earn the win. Powell River outshot Langley 31-29.

Kings have two more preseason games this weekend, both of which will be played in Port MacNeill. Alberni Valley Bulldogs will provide the opposition on Saturday, September 17, and Sunday, September 18.
