Powell River Kings shut out Langley Rivermen in final preseason tune-up

BCHL club bounces back from losses on Friday and Saturday

Powell River Kings rebounded from consecutive losses by shutting out Langley Rivermen on September 26.

The 3-0 win at George Preston Arena in Langley was the final BC Hockey League (BCHL) preseason game for the Kings, who beat Cowichan in exhibition play on September 22 and dropped a pair of games against Chilliwack on September 24 and 25.

Mark D’Agostino, Ethan Reisterer (power play) and Branden Toye scored for Powell River in Langley, while goaltender Zak Brice turned aside all 39 shots he faced to earn the win. Karter McNarland, Dylan Finlay, Olivier Lepine and Nathan Small recorded one assist each.

Kings finished the exhibition portion of their schedule with a record of two wins and two losses.

Powell River kicks off the BCHL regular season with a pair of games at home on October 8 and 9 against Nanaimo Clippers.
