Connal Miller opened the scoring for the second time in as many games for Powell River Minor Hockey Association’s U13 rep team at the 2021/2022 BC Hockey Tier 3 Championship in Trail on Sunday, March 20.
Kooper Kozmeniuk assisted on the goal, but the 1-0 lead was short-lived. Mission responded with five first period goals, seven more in the middle frame and another three in the third period en route to a 15-1 win.
On Monday, March 21, Powell River will face South Okanagan, a team that defeated Mission 6-2 on March 19.
Powell River dropped its first game of the tournament to Whitehorse, also on March 19.
