Powell River U15 Kings rebounded from a semi-final loss earlier today (March 20) to win the bronze medal at the BC Hockey Tier 3 provincial championships.

Jack Webber scored four goals to lead the way offensively against the host Quesnel U15 Thunder. Fawkes Barcelonne, Kooper Kozmeniuk, Lucas Gruntman and Jackson Peters also scored for the Kings en route to an 8-2 win and a podium finish. Gruntman also assisted on four goals, while Barcelonne and Webber set up a pair each and single assists were credited to James Barrows, Kozmeniuk and Kesler Brown.

Nine teams competed in the tournament at West Fraser Centre in Quesnel. New Westminster beat Nelson 6-3 in the gold medal game, also on March 20.

Powell River earned a spot in the provincial championship by winning the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association championship earlier this month.
