Powell River Kings goalie Thomas Wardle makes a toe save on Coquitlam Express forward Ryan Tattle during a BCHL game at Scotia Barn in Burnaby in April 2021. Kings play their first game at home in nearly 20 months on October 8.

The Peak polled 263 readers and asked the question: Will you be attending Powell River Kings’ home games when the BC Hockey League regular season begins with COVID-19 restrictions in place?

The poll ran from 9/30/2021 to 10/5/2021. Of the 263 votes, we can determine that 136 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

Yes 22.79 % local, 24.71 % total
No 77.21 % local, 75.29 % total
  Local   Total

Results are based on an online study of adult readers who are located in the qathet region. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- %, 19 times out of twenty.

The Peak uses a variety of techniques to capture data, detect and prevent fraudulent votes, detect and prevent robots, and filter out non-local and duplicate votes.
