Thefts at north harbour investigated by Powell River RCMP

Report of single incident led to discovery that multiple boats had been broken into

At approximately 12:56 pm on May 26, Powell River RCMP received a report that a boat moored at the Westview North Harbour had been broken into sometime over the previous couple of days.

The boat, which had been securely locked, had been rummaged through and several items had been stolen. After investigation, police discovered three other boats moored nearby had also been broken into. The investigation is ongoing.
