Powell River Kings return home after shutout loss

Powell River Kings’ weekend road trip ended with another lopsided loss in Victoria.

The host Grizzlies followed up an 8-1 win over the Kings the night before with a 7-0 shutout on January 30 to sweep the two-game series.

Victoria outshot Powell River 35-31. Attendance at the Q Centre was 1,371.

Kings will look to snap an eight game losing streak when they host Cowichan Valley at Hap Parker Arena on Wednesday, February 2. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 pm.

The two teams last met on January 2 in Duncan, when the Kings posted their last win, 5-2 over the Capitals.
