Powell River Kings top scorer makes collegiate commitment

Josh Kagan parlays BCHL career into opportunity with NCAA club
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Josh Kagan led Powell River Kings in scoring during the recently completed BC Hockey League bubble season.

Powell River Kings forward Josh Kagan has committed to Utica College (New York) for the 2021/2022 hockey season.

In his only season with Powell River (2020/2021), Kagan, 20, led his team in scoring with 12 goals and 30 points in 19 games.

Prior to his stint with the Kings, Kagan played 52 games with three other BC Hockey League teams (Cowichan Valley, Merritt, Nanaimo), recording 31 points.

Utica College competes in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Division III).
