Editor: “Route 3” as BC Ferries calls it, is our – Sunshine Coast residents’ – highway! The idea of restricting access to people that want to go to Vancouver on short notice or come back whenever they are finished doing

Editor: I’m fully opposed to the changes for reservations and fares BC Ferries is proposing for the Langdale service. The limited advantages for the ridership of BC Ferries would not be worth the added costs they entail.

Editor: I have yet to figure out the ins and outs of BC Ferries’ confusing new reservation and payment system and so I won’t address those details.

Editor: The new BC Ferries summer reservation system is totally disappointing. It feels like we are reliving a passage from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy .

Editor: The ferry reservation system change is really a bad idea, wrapped up inside of a sneaky fare increase.

Editor: BC Ferries’ latest proposal to make Route 3 a 95 per cent reservations system is missing a big point.

Editor: Another ferry tale: everyone reserves every trip, for free! Sounds good – unless you have no idea about the sailing you will be able to catch for your return to the Coast. Think about it.

Editor: Let’s be open-minded, and try the reservation trial proposed by BC Ferries. The current system isn’t working during peak travel times.

Editor: I recently reviewed the new travel restrictions on the BC Ferries website. To my moderate surprise this ban does not include the Sunshine Coast.
