According to the B.C. Wildfire Service, 420 of the 1,950 wildfires that created havoc across our province this year were caused by humans.

When I heard about the shooting in New Brunswick, I was hurt. All these years I thought, despite the multiple shootings in the USA, that Canadians were more rational.

A new year is about to start. Yes, the last days of December are traditionally the time to take stock of the year that has passed. During those dark, cold days, we set new goals and resolutions and may even manage to make good on them for a while.
