To the thousands of upper and lower Sunshine Coast residents who signed the petition to reinstate the bus service of 10 years ago, I am saddened to inform you that our presentation fell on not only deaf ears, but boredom on the part of City of Powell

Well, it looks like the economic wave the BC NDP government has been riding since coming to power two years ago is about to hit the beach. The bad news is outlined in the government’s first quarterly report of the current fiscal year.

Voters in North Island-Powell River riding, along with Canadians across the country, will be heading to the polls on October 21. Locally we will be watching to see if the weakness of the NDP nationally will have an impact on incumbent Rachel Blaney.

On the very first day of the election campaign, the media bus drove into Justin Trudeau’s plane at the Victoria airport. As metaphors go, that’s not bad.

Better health is a perpetual pursuit. In different stages and situations, we need different tools and support, however, happiness is the common, universal goal.

The undercard in the federal election campaign has become a bruising fight. This would be the deteriorating relationship between the federal Green Party and the NDP.
