Powell River Kings ended the BC Hockey League (BCHL) regular season on a high note on Sunday, March 26, by doubling up on Coquitlam Express by a score of 8-4.

Cameron Symons led the way offensively with a hat-trick for the Kings, who won handily despite being outshot 40 to 29. Liam Vanderkooi earned the win in goal.

Casey Aman scored on a power play, while even-strength markers were added by Alexi Van Houtte-Cachero, Parker Lalonde, with two, and newly signed Carter Lundie.

Attendance at Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre in Coquitlam was 1,192.

Powell River finished seventh in BCHL Coastal Conference standings with 48 points and will face second place Surrey Eagles (73 points) in the opening round of postseason play.

Games one and two will be played at South Surrey Arena on Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1. The series shifts to Hap Parker Arena for games three and four on Monday, April 3, and Tuesday, April 4.
